Happy Halloween!

Just four years ago were the Cedar Fires here in San Diego and four years later the same thing happens again! It came close to home real fast. I'm just glad that everyone is safe and that all of our homes are still standing. I was in denial, my house isn't going to burn down! and if it does i'll be here to stop it from catching on fire! I didn't even pack any of my stuff because I think I didn't need to especially in my mira mesa bubble :) But.......what do we do to keep our minds of the fires??? Drink. EVERYDAY! Well, not everyday but close! Asshole. Kings. El Torito's Taco Tuesday! We didn't waste our free week of no school! (Thanks Jackie for letting us use your house!)

Still not falling into complete reality, Halloween was just right around the corner. This holiday is always fun, but I must say...Besides my childhood trick-or-treating days this Halloween is was by far one of my favorites. It was cool seeing Neil's transformation to Edward Scissorhands! Jackie and I did the makeup and hair and I'm very happy with how it turned out. As for me? I had to put together a last minute costume. I was planning on not even dressing up this year, but I couldn't resist! If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm Velma from Scooby Doo. Ya, boring. I know.

Happy Birthday Toby!!

Toby is 35 years old (in dog years!) He's an old man now! I wasn't able to get a cake or a present or go to the doggy cafe or go to the dog park, but I will! He doesn't even know it was his birthday today.

IKEA

I always come home to Toby running up to me with his tail wagging and tounge stinking out--Naked, but I wasn't expecting this! My mom bought him his Halloween costume. I know its cliche but she just couldn't resist. Isn't he adorable? Don't you just want to eat him?!

So it's my turn to bring up the subject of birthdays for the month of October and I'll say it again, "MAN THERE ARE A LOT OF BIRTHDAYS THIS MONTH!" Now that I got that out of my chest I can move on...Looks like New Years day is the day to knock boots. Get it? 9 months from January is October.. So October is...ok nevermind. You get it.

Neil and I assembled a new shelf from IKEA. I wish there were actual instructions rather than pictures that "SORT OF" tell you what to do. You literally have to analyze the picture to make sure you don't overlook anything or else you'd end up like us. Taking it apart and putting it together, and taking it it apart, and putting it together, and taking it apart and putting it back together, I guess third time was a charm! The feeling of accomplishment was well worth it when we put it up and put all the DVDs on the rack. Yup, we did it ourselves! With nobody's help. We used a hammer and nails! haha, it felt like we just built a house! It was fun. I won't mind doing it again! I'm proud of us. Toby is too. Look at his face.
